First Response Course

All leaders are required to hold a valid First Aid Certificate at least to the level of First Response !!

A First Response course will be held on Saturday 7th March at Cardenden Scout Hall from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Please contact Teresa Creed to book a place on this course as soon as possible, so that we can be assured that the course will be worthwhile.

Notes from Cub Section Meeting

Christmas Party
5th Dec at Templehall Community Centre - £4 per Cub and 6.30 p.m. start.
Numbers to Dick and/or Teresa by Friday 21 November

5 a side competition - will be held in January. Date to be confirmed but first choice is a Sunday.

Dates for competitions in 2009

Kinghorn Trophy Sunday 8th February 2 - 4 p.m. at Kinghorn Church Hall.
please note change of venue due to hall renovations at the 6th Fife Hall

Harper Safety Sunday 15th March 2 - 4 p.m. at 14th Fife Hall.

Sportsnight Wednesday 10th June at 6.30 p.m. at the 35th Fife Hall.

Mary Pearson Trophy Sunday 4th October 2 - 4 p.m. at 5th Fife Hall.

Swimming Gala Saturday 14th November - 5.30 p.m. start. - date to be confirmed

District Cub Camp ADC (Cubs) to investigate Meggarnie, Tannadice and Douglaswood availability for weekends of 16/17 May and 13/14 June and report back to Leaders before decision is made. Note - after meeting discussion would rule out Meggarnie as max 28 seater can get to site

Dewreski Cup - Team of four Cubs (error at the meeting, I said eight) one of 8yrs, one of 9yrs, one of 10yrs and another of any age. Agreement reached that the Kirkcaldy District "team" would be made up of Cubs from a number of Packs. This obviously relies on Leaders nominating who they think would merit "selection" - this can be done at the Harper Safety and Wemyss Firs competitions which will be held before the Dewreski Cup in September.
